Here's my .02 worth.... The Edelbrock manifold would be more friendly on
the street than the M1. Much broader torque curve and better quality
casting than the MP M1. Nothing wrong with a Holley carb but if you *had*
to buy new I would recommend the Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS carb. I've
used both and prefer the AVS for strip/street use.

Having already read Jon's post about the heads.....the Edelbrock heads come
assembled whereas I believe the MP version came bare. Everyone I know who
uses Edelbrock aluminum heads has been very impressed with them so I
wouldn't hesitate to spend your money on them. :-)
