Definitely a plus.

Check out: http://www.apsprecision.com (They have one of the best converters
out there with an excellent efficiency factor).

Subject: DML: Aftermarket Torque Convertor?

I have a '99 5.2 2WD CC Dak with a Magnum Performance TB, a Gibson catback
exhaust and a 3.55 rear. Would it be worthwhile to install an aftermarket TC
for better bottomend performance? Which one would you suggest and who should
I buy it from? Also, would a transmiision kit be a good idea?

I plan on a few occasional 1/4 mile passes, but I would like something that
is good for everyday use mostly.

Thanks.

Guy
