We stayed there both in '03 and '04 on our cross-country and SoutWest
ventures.
Very nice campground. But, I think it's probably a bit up-scale - Every
site is a concrete pad with manicured lawn and flowers all around.
Automatic waterers everynight keeps things green. Restrooms/bathrooms
are spotless!
Easy access to just about everything - US40, US6, I-70 all nearby. Coors
Brewery, Buffalo Bill Grave and Museum, Railroad Museum, etc. in Golden;
Celestial Seasonings in Boulder; and downtown Denver is only 20 minutes
away.
Dodge Dealer is two miles down the road - had oil change done there.
Looking at the rigs on the grounds, we felt small with the RAM and a 28'
travel trailer.
And, by 9:30 at night, you can hear a pin drop, so partying is probably
not gonna be among the favored activities.
Bottom line - for individuals it would be a great place to stay, but I
wouldn't recommend it for DML or any large group.
