A WHOLE WEEK!!!??? What's your secret?

What are we thinking we'll need electricity for? The only thing I can think
of is re-charging of batteries. Anything else electrical (lights, radios,
GPS, computers) can be done just as well on battery power.

OK, I just went back and re-read the original message, and it looks like Jon
was thinking about running a wireless router or access point. We do have one
of these: http://tinyurl.com/4aud6 which is a fairly sizeable battery with a
built-in inverter. I'm not sure how long it would be able to run the router,
but it should be good for at least an hour or two each night, then we can
re-charge it for the next day.

I wouldn't worry too much about generators, especially if it's just for
recharging batteries. From my experience, any campground that has showers
will probably also have at least some spots available with electrical hookups
for the trailer. We've been at several provincial parks that didn't have the
water or sewer hookups but still had electricity available. I've also seen
tent sites that had electric outlets so people could run their air mattress
inflators and TVs to keep their kiddies quiet. If nothing else, we're
certainly happy to re-charge whatever needs to be re-charged as long as we
have electricity.

For that matter, batteries can be re-charged in the truck with an inverter.
Just my opinion, but I think we'll be fine without a generator.

But by all means, if you already have one and can figure out a way to reduce
the noise level, feel free to bring it along. Think the airline will allow
it as carry-on luggage?
