To be blunt...yeah.
The NV3500 (the manual tranny in V8 Daks from 2004 back to...at least
'96) is rated at 350 ft-lbs (either that, or 350 HP, but I think it's
the torque). Seeing as how the 360 put out, at least in its later
years, somewhere around 345 ft-lbs, you're cutting it close.
In Ram 2500 and 3500s, the 360 could be had with a stick - but the
transmission is the NV4500, which is rated for about 100 ft-lbs more
(seeing a pattern?). The NV4500 is a considerably larger transmission
than NV3500, and weighs a *lot* more.
IIRC, Jim Harmon actually did pull the swap and put a 4500 in a Dak, but
it required a nontrivial amount of hammering on the transmission tunnel.
