How has this swap worked out for you? I have a '99 2wd 318 5spd truck and
would like to do this swap someday. Will the stock 5spd hold up to the 360
pretty good? Why was there never a 5.9 5spd offered from the factory? Did
they think the trans not strong enough? I am guessing you are using an auto
PCM from the Ram, does that cause any problems with having the manual?

-for my swap we just took a long block 360 from a '95 RAM - swapped
-everything from the 318 that fit and plugged it in.
-same distributor,throttle body, exhaust manifold, engine mounts, accessory
-mounts, 19lb injectors
-could have used the same intake manifold
-new externally balanced flywheel
-used pcm from 95 ram ( parts.com or uneedapart.com )
