I'll give you the Charger, T-bird and GTO (a rebadged Holden just
reminds us of the crappy GM cars we get north of the Equator), but the
Beetle I thought (and still think) is a pretty decent modern
interpretation of the original. And you have to be smoking something
really, really good if you think the '05 Mustang is just an attempt at
cashing in on the nameplate - that car may well be Ford's best-executed
vehicle in recent memory. Just one look at it and you *know* where
everything on it came from.
