Yes, the 1 on the cap is for cylinder #1, then just follow it with the
firing order from there...do you know what I mean by that?

OK guys,
got all the ignition stuff pulled off. I want to make sure of
something
before I put it back together. My crappy repair manual shows a picture of
the firing order and the cap but it doesn't line up the same as the cap
installed in the truck and I want to make sure I have the right wires on the
right terminals. On the top of the cap is stamped a number 1 right above a
terminal, is this the terminal for the #1 plug? I want to assume it is but
you know what happens then...also there is a plastic vent cap in the middle
of two terminals, this looks like the two plugs that connect above the vent
are the 8 and 4? Does that question even make sense? I just want to double
check everything before I move on to something else.
