When I was looking to buy a new vehicle in 2000, the whole reason I didn't
discount trucks from the getgo was because fuel was less than a dollar per
gallon. I remember when I could pull into a gas station with the needle on
"E," fill up and then get change back from a $20 bill. Now $20 won't get me
half a tank.
