275-40-17 is a 25.66" tall tire---
3.5" difference in tire height front to rear would look stupid, and handle like ass...
275-50-17 is a 28" tall tire-- won't rub with Hotchkis alignment spec--- I have 100k miles on Hotchkis, plus have sold over 100 TVS kits...
28" tire is fine for the front.
