Re: Can you swap 2.5 I4 for 360?

Alright, thanks for the imput!

Unfortunately, with this new info, I may decide to
stay away. I've always really liked the look of first
gen Daks, (beyond this point, bite your tounge and
bear my opinion!) 2nd Gens always looked kinda
cheapened to me, and I never felt they looked 'right',
and while I actually will admit to liking the 3rd Gen
bodystyle, I fear all the wiring and computers might
be too much for me at this point in the game, plus the
$$$$ of a nice one is out of my meager budget. I
usually end up with cheap bottom-feeder cars and think
up crazy things to do with them.

The 360/stick first gen Dak still intrigues me- but
considering I have NO money, am scrounging up $7000
over the winter to build a motor for my wagon, then a
transmission for it, a rear end, fabbing up some frame
connectors, getting a GV OD unit (I like driving it
down the freeway, but I gotta put some shorter gears
in it, as I have a vendetta with a certain 12 second
Monaco, so I must go 11s next summer in my beater so I
can laugh at him), things like that. Not to mention
I'll prob. have to install safety belts, a tach,
repair the instrument cluster, stuff like that).

Anyways, that's going way off topic. But besides that,
I have a '70 300 2-door that I'm trying to restore and
convert to a stick (as I know none of you will know,
no Fuselage C-body EVER came as a stick, so the pedals
would come from a 3 on the tree car, and I'm pretty
much on my own for the rest), and an '86 Dodge 600 I
intend to eventually build an 11 second sleeper from
with a Turbo Dodge motor. So throwing another BIG
project in the mix could be an issue.

But, maybe I'll still buy the truck as daily
transport? The 600 needs sills bad, so I might not
want to chance a lovely MI winter with it. At least I
would get to start with a clean truck, so I could
undercoat it well.

I don't know now. I am curious as to what that other
trans was that was mentioned from behind a 318? Going
to an electric fan wouldn't be a biggie- Electric fans
are better anyways.

I really appreciate all the info I've recieved so far,
and any more I get!

Thanks,
Bob
