How is the distributor cap and rotor, is the coil getting power, are there
any blown fuses, etc.?
For it to just stop running something just happened...

Subject: DML: 1991 Dakota 4-banger won't start

A customer I know from work has a 1991 Dak 2wd 4 banger 5 speed that he
cant get started. He pulled into a gas station to get gas and it wouldnt
restart after he filled up. I stopped over at his palce to look at it -
ther eis no fuel from the injector and no spark. Its a single Throttle
body fuel injected engine. Premag. Tried replacing the pick up coil -
nothing... I'm thinking ECM problem. They have replaced the fuel pump,
the fuel injectorm and the fuel lines - all within the last year.

I stared at the engine with few ideas... could a neutral saftey switch
cause it not to start?

I'm considering buying this truck... if he cant get it running I should
be able to get it pretty cheap.

its got 179,000 miles on it however... not sure just how good an idea it
is to buy that truck.
