I swapped mine to a 180 a while back. Last winter it had trouble getting
warm....this winter it's even worse. It just barely gets into the normal
range when it's cold out (30's). I don't know what it will do when it gets
even colder. I think I'm going to have to swap it out.
I don't think the problem is due to it being a 180 though....I think it's
just a bad thermostat.
My check engine light has been on for a while. Everytime I check it I get a
code about it not reaching operating temp in the right amount of time. So,
I assume that instead of the t-stat staying closed while the engine warms
up, it's opened up at least some.

Good question...it may be a 165, but it just does not heat up. I think the
antifreeze is lousy anyway

What temp thermostat are you running? I've got a 180 degree one in my truck
and I'm just fine in the sub freezing temps.
