I have installed a similar kit on all of the automatic transmissions in
my "stable". I left the washers out and soldered mine in so that I
didn't have to worry about threads loosening. I didn't worry as much
about the heat from a propane torch warping or blowing through the pan
as I would have if I used a welder.
