I've installed drain plugs so that I don't get 1/2 of the trans juice on
me, 1/2 on the garage floor and 1/2 actually in the pan. Yes...3
halves. There is always more oil in there than you think, and most of
it seems to go anywhere but in the pan, hence the convenient drain plug.
In addition, I get to take >all< of the used oil to the recycler where
it should go, rather than into the trash which is where the speedy-dry
(and most often, my t-shirt) goes after it has soaked up the oil.
