I am not sure about the V6, but facing the truck from the front on my 5.2,
it unscrews normally.

Try it for a little while without the fan and keep it handy. Make SURE you
store that clutch fan standing UP, not lying down.

Subject: DML: Clutch Fan Removal

It looks as though I'm going to have to put a water pump in the Dak
relatively soon and I was wondering how the clutch fan comes off. Is it
just
left-hand threads?

I was thinking about leaving it off for the remainder of winter and just
running the stock e-fan. I've got a friend who runs only the stock e-fan
with a 180stat in his R/T and he doesn't get any overheating..... Might as
well give it a shot with my little V6. I'll probably do the viper fan mod
when it begins to get warmer though.

Opinions?
