Hey, Jon!

<snip> Without them, even loosening a bolt will make the vehicle move.
There's nothing quite like 5,000 lbs wiggling and swaying above
your head to give you the heebie jeebies.<snip>

Anecdote: I had a bud who made his own ramps out of four foot sections of
railroad ties...Plenty
wide enuff for tires - if centered correctly...He cut 15 degree angles on
them with a chain saw...
Had a little Pontiac somethin or other (GF's car) that needed a starter
change out...
Pulled it on the ramps in his garage & put it in PARK & closed the garage
door...
As he was underneath, he realized that he hadda disconnect the tranny to get
the old starter out...
So he did, & you guessed it...no more PARK! The car rolled off the ramps and
pinned him to the garage floor!
Tight enough so he couldn't "scooch" out, but loose enuff for him to breathe
adequately...
He yelled for a half hour before his GF heard him & figured out where the
yelling was coming from...
She opened the garage door & stood there screaming, "Oh my God - Oh my God"
until he could get her to
finally shutup & get help...
I think about that EVERY time I'm about to crawl underneath the DAKSY...I
Always block the wheels BOTH ways
with wheel chocks...
