I'd heard that 275/40 was the widest a 9" wheel could take because of the
low-profile sidewall. I believe you can go wider once you get out of the
low-profile type of tire. I don't have any experience with this, and will be
purchasing tires for a set of R/T wheels so I'd be interested to hear some
feedback as well.

If everything goes according to plan, I may have Hotchkis 1912F coils and
3806 Leafs for sale in March/April. I don't know your timetable, but if
you're in no hurry I'd be willing to unload them for relatively cheap. Hit
me up offlist if you're interested. (that goes for anyone else too)
