I too have done it your way many times, Jon. Quite easy actually and fine
as long as the rails won't be in the way of anything else you're going to
do. As for the "special" tool....at least the two varieties I've found at
Advance or Auto Zone....I've had success with them...sometimes...and other
times it was just as easy (hard) to disconnect the lines by pushing in the
black ring with my fingers. A Mopar tech friend says he never uses a tool.
I guess he has stronger fingers than I. :-)
