Superchips or other programmers, help school and idiot..

I have 2 4.7 motored trucks in the stable, both with the 45RFE
transmission.

  2002 Dakota Quad cab
  2003 Durango

The only difference in the drivetrain is the transfer case. The Dakota
has the NV241 and I belive the Durango has the NV233 (AWD)

As the vehicles are getting older I want to be able to diagnose
troublecodes and possibly optimize for efficiency. I like the idea of
being able to possibly change settings for towing.

I've also changed tire size on my Dakota from the 265/70 to 265/75 tires
and the speedo is now off and I'd like to recalibrate it.

Can somebody who has any of these programmers help shed some light on
which are better, and offer more options and which would be the best bang
for the buck.

I guess another question would be, since I have 2 vechicles that are
essentially the same, would I have to buy 2 of them or could I use the
same unit for both vehicles. I wonder if the programmers read vehicle
specific info when used and have settings that 'lock' to that vehicle

Help school an idiot on any of these programmers.

  Thanks.
