I think part of what threw it off when he bobbed the bed was he started with a
long bed truck. So the proportions just didn't look right with the long
wheelbase. Now that he back-halved it, I think he should have moved the rear
axle forward a tad more. It would have had a better balance IMO. But now he
doesn't have a bed, he just cut the skins off the sides of the bed and attached
them to the tube chassis. I don't know, I'm kind of torn. While I like what he
did, I don't know if I would have put in the effort to save the sides of the
bed. I may have left the tube chassis bare. He has a few photos in his "Mods"
gallery of it before he added the bed sides and I think I liked it better. Take
a look, you'll see what I mean.
