RE: Back again

I gave considerable thought to another Dak but the large number of items
that wore out prematurely on my '99 helped shape my decision. The gen
IVs have the same drive train, no disconnecting hubs, auto or manual. No
front axle disconnect. I was never happy with the design. Also, the
sleek look of the Gen IIIs is gone. To my mind no other truck on the
road looks as sleek as a Gen III.
So.... I have an '06 Tundra. My fourth 4x4 truck and my second Toyota.

Here are some additional items that I'm getting rid of separately from
the truck.

4 BFG mud terrain tires; 32x11.50 R15 LT mounted on 15 inch AR-767 black
painted wheels with 6 on 4 1/2 bolt circle. Total miles on the tires:
3240. They have been stored in a dry basement and are in excellent
condition. Only small traces of a tan, clay-like substance at the bottom
of the treads. They have been proven to get excellent traction in a rare
substance known in some circles as Steigermud.

And; an Access roll-up bed cover for a Gen III, 6 1/2 foot bed. 4 years
old, also in very good condition.

The Toy is a little bigger, taller, and boxier. Essentially more
truck-like. We drove to Cape Hatteras and back a couple of weeks ago and
it already gets better gas mileage than the 318 ci.

Neil!! Great to hear from you!!

Aww come on say it isn't sooo! Selling the Dakota? Bummer!

Will you be replacing it with another Mopar product? Perhaps another
Dakota? Or have you decided that you no longer desire the ownership of a

truck?

Unfortunately I do not have the means to buy your Gen III, otherwise I
would pounce on it.

Whatever you decide - I hope you stick around The List and hope to see
you again at a BBQ in the future :D
