Well that makes it simple....
We just need to make sure the steering is shipshape and no wheels will
fall off on the way, and I can drag it from there to here for a couple
extra bucks.
The only possible snag is I was thinking of stopping through MN on my way
back here to pick up my parents' recently replaced 1968 John Deere 140
garden tractor so I was thinking of dragging a utility trailer. It's only
an extra 350 miles to swing through MSP and that's a drop in the bucket on
this trip.
If I leave the Dakota's cap here in NY I'm sure I can fit the tractor in
the bed but I'm not quite so certain about the mower deck, snow blower and
leaf vac.
Though I haven't figured out if taking the leaf vac is worth it
at all since I have no trees in my yard, only on the edges, and since I
have the snowplow on the RamCharger....
It's a bit too soon to worry about that now though, apparently my dad
thought of delivering it as an excuse to come out and see me since he's
not out here weekly anymore (hip replacement in late March has him not
driving truck until probably July or so).
I'm not to familar with a '48 Jeep (CJ-2a?) but I'm thinking that even if
the back seat is out of it, there's probably no room for even the smallest
of the tractor accesories, a 48" snow blower.
Something to think about. Especially simple if my parents decide to come
visit and deliver the tractor in the next 2 months.
