The distributor cap has a vent and water may have gotten inside.
Even if that didn't happen, condensation may have formed inside when the
outside got wet.
Depending on the quality/age of your plug wires, you may have gotten some
shorting between them or ground.

Not likely.

Not likely.

Coolant won't evaporate easily. After changing the busted hose, I would
rinse the entire engine bay. If the engine was already dirty I would use
some Simple Green to clean it up. Just follow directions on the bottle.

For right now I wouldn't worry about keeping water away from the dist cap as
it's already covered with coolant, but if you were to wash the engine again
in the future you should protect the cap from water. I would use aluminum
foil as it's easy to form around that area. (remove foil before starting
engine) Of course you also want to keep water out of the throttle body and
air cleaner as well.

This time, remove the dist cap and clean up the insides or replace it if
it's old.

After rinsing, if you have access to compressed air you could dry off most
of the engine. If not, wipe off what standing water you can easily get to
and take the truck for a drive on the highway. If you get any stalling or
rough running it is likely due to condensation inside the dist cap so be
prepared to dry it out. (wd-40 works well for this, as do paper towels)
