I guess the thing that confuses me is the big scary warning label telling us
never, ever to use 4hi on pavement because it locks the front and rear axles
together and will cause binding in the transfer case when turning corners, but
then they tell us the best thing to do when flat towing is to put the case in
neutral which locks the front and rear axles together. You do have to turn
corners when towing too.
Oh, well, I suppose it's one of those things I'm not meant to fully
understand. :-) The important question is whether the recommendation of
putting the transfer case in neutral for towing is really the best idea, or
whether the instructions are wrong. If it really is okay for towing, then
that's good enough for me.
