Balljoints on any of them made before 1/1/2003. There was a recall.
Make sure it was performed.

There was a run of early '01 5-speeds that grenaded their synchros.

At some point in that run ('01-'04), Dodge started getting stingy &
slipstreaming cost-cutting measures into various bits of the trucks.

'03-'04 have disc brakes in the rear. Very nice upgrade IMO.

'04 has the 3.7L V6 (the one that first came out w/ the Liberty) instead
of the old 3.9L.

Payload is 1450 I think. Towing depends on tranny & axle ratios. Jason
knows this inside & out.

Factory was 3.55 standard, 3.92 optional. I spec'd my '03 QC 4x4 w/ a
5-speed and 3.92 LSD, and got the 9.25" rear end. Not sure which part
of the combo got me there.
