That answers that question, thanks! :-) So it must be that
Dodge shipped 'em to Shelby with the VIN tag already in place,
bearing the Y designation for the impending swap. This does
bring up another question though... Since Dodge obviously
earmarked these Daks for Shelby, why bother to install a V6
in the first place? Why not just ship 'em sans engine and
save some money?
