Hey, Mike...

<snip> The A/C Compressor clutch has seized up on my 99 club cab. I have the
318
engine
Can I swap the belt to the Non A/C belt or do I need some kind of ider
wheel
to replace the compressor with? I need my truck to be running, but finances
 say that a replacement
compressor is a ways off at the moment.
 Thanks for your help<snip>

Seeing as your compressor's shot anyways, I don't see why you can't replace
the OEM Serp belt with a shorter one...
Everytime I've replaced mine, the parts guys always ask if I've got A/C, so
there must be a belt out there for your 318 w/o A/C...
I don't see where another idler will help ya...the one in there is spring
loaded & should take up any slack in the new belt...
I'll admit I'm not an expert in this area, but I'm sure you'll be fine...
