Funny you should mention that. I was working on the passenger side
tonight. I had a little issue with the upper - getting it threaded
right. To my horror. it crossthreaded the first tiem I put it in. The
threads were a little tweaked... but I got it to go in right the 2nd time.
The lower is proving to be more a challenge. AutoZones ball joint press
is not a one size fits all. I can't get the lower pressed in all the
way. There seems to be no combination for the tubes and discs to get it
in 100 percent. I was able to get it to go in almost the entire way -
but couldnt press it in farther because of how I had the discs arranged.
(disc was flat on the control arm and the ball joint pressed up into
the disc before it was ll the way in) I'm going to try to cut a peice
of scrap pipe to make a shorter tube. The ones that come with the ball
joint press are too tall for this set up...
