Indeed. Both times someone has (unsuccessfully) tried to break in to my '95,
it's been by shoving a screwdriver between the plastic of the door handle and
the sheet metal to work the lock mechanism. I caught the second S.O.B. in the
act. He had parked his car next to the truck in the parking lot at work when
I walked up. He made up some BS about having dinged my paint by opening his
door, and I was about to tell him that I had seen the screwdriver when it
suddenly occurred to me that he probably had a pistol under his front seat.
So I chickened out, got in the truck, and drove away.

Sounds interesting, but I'm guessing they might just move on to breaking the
window out of frustration. Since I caught that guy, I've gotten in the habit
of always remembering to set the alarm, even when it's parked at work in broad
daylight. Haven't had a problem since. That could just be coincidence, but
that blinking LED and alarm are better than nothing.
