Forgot to mention...make darn sure you have the correct valve springs or you
will break them (I did several times). I'm actually running longer pushrods
(Smith Brothers 7.050") to help correct the geometry. You can get away with
the pushrods you have, but again...make darn sure the springs you have are
capable of handling the larger lift.

That'll work.

Thanks Bernd.

Things are looking good for me. I rigged up compressed air to the cylinders
and don't hear or feel any air leaking out the intake or exhaust. When I
open the exhaust valve, it's a definite sound and feel of air movement.
Obviously can't open the intake valve but there's defiantly no air felt or
hissing like when the exhaust valve is open.
Looks like my next step is to install the rocker parts that were intended
for my 408 but it seems as though I may not have the correct parts. Here's
what's on the packages:

Comp Cam 1048-16 Rocker Arms
FS 1.7 3/8"
04348

Comp Cams 4825-8 Dodge Magnum 5/16" Guide Plates

Comp Cams 4504-16 Studs
302 Ford 3/8 x 5/16 Studs

Comp Cams 7634-16
5/16 Magnum Push Rod 6.950

It was over a year ago I got this stuff from KRC and I never noticed the
"302 Ford" on the stud package. Is the rocker supposed to ride directly on
the stud? These studs fit through the rocker hole but the body of the
rocker rides on the stud.

The push rods seems correct but when compared to the stock rods, they are
about 1/16" longer. Is this a problem?

The rocker arms and guide plates seem correct.
