Technical Tire Question

I'm looking for a slightly more aggressive tire for my _truck_
(http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines.com/forums/topic.ten-id-250940-s-technical_tire_question
#) . My GVW is 9000lbs. The factory tires are load range "E" with a 3195 (x4
= 12780) lb capacity each. My question is that I've seen several tires I
like, but with a load range "B" or "standard" rating at about 2600 (x4 = 10400)
lbs each, which according to my math, I'm still well within limits. Now, my
question is that why should I pay more $$ for the tire with only a slightly
higher load rating? Am I missing something? Am I over thinking something? Please
 help!
