Hey, Don...

I'd hafta guess at a blown head gasket or a warped head, although if the
head was shot,
You'd probably have Antifreeze in your oil...Not sure if it's common...But I
bet Bernd can answer that...

<>If it's turn out something I can handle, will I need and special tools?<>

Torque wrench..Torque sequence..new head bolts...new gasket...maybe a new
head...
Vertical milling machine with some Kennametal 6" dia. carbide insertable
milling cutters...(J/K!)
Colored twist ties & colored golf tees are handy..Match twist tie colors to
wires you separate &
Match twist tie & golf tee colors to vacuum lines & connection points
Clear a BIG space on your workbench so you can lay stuff out in the order
that you remove it...makes it easier at reassembly
When you get the head off, flip it over & inspect it...you may see some
cracks...if you do - replace it...
If you don't see any cracks, place a qualifies straight edge (steel rule or
level) on the block mating surface to check for flatness...
If it's not flat it'll hafta be machined...

Good Luck!
