if it's really bad, it'll give you a MIL, but degraded economy indicates
a poorly performing O2 sensor. Replace the forward one at least, on
your '99 the rear O2 does not effect fuel trim so you can ignore t until
it trips a MIL. I still have my original at 150k on my truck, hanging
out in a bracket on the frame in nice clean O2 rich atmosphere.
