RE: Daimler Flat Out Destroyed The Looks Of The Dakota.....Plain & Simple!.

There's more to the look. Like the mono-tone paint job only offered on the
R/T model, the wheels/tire, suspension, of course the motor, and more
"standard" features, such as the 3.92 gearing, limited slip, and heavy duty
service group.

But like I said, if R/T owners are supposed to be such dickheads that nobody
likes, there sure are a lot of people that try to make their trucks into
R/Ts. I could care less about the badging of other trucks. Dodge has
pretty much ruined the R/T badge with their recent line up of R/T vehicles,
so it really doesn't mean much anymore.

There's more to a 5.9L R/T than a set of wheels? Yeah, 1" drop and (in some
cases) a slightly better exhaust - that's it.

Not going to "blast" you, but I find it funny how every talks smack
about the R/T guys, but yet a lot of those same people try to make
thier trucks look like the R/Ts. As for the 2006 with R/T badging,
that's because it was a R/T. Dodge made "R/Ts" in the new body
style. They had the 4.7HO with 3.92 gears and the R/T badging. Other
than that nothing special. No suspension upgrades, no upgraded
wheels, not special paint. There's more to a R/T than the 5.9L and a
set of wheels.

But I do agree the GenIV Dakotas look like ass. I don't think Dodge
will ever be able to make another Dakota that looks as good as the
GenIIIs. The new facelift they gave the Dakota for '08 helps a
little, but still not good looking.

Brian.
