That theory works as long as you are moving. Once you stop all that hot air
goes up, and kills your off the line power, which is where most street races
are won.

larger filter? no. removed heat shield? yes. My assumption is that the
incoming air through the front of the truck will push hot air away from the
filer allowing it draw cool air just the same as if the heatshiled were
there. With a best time of 13.92 beofre my latest round of mods, I'd say the

filter sans heat shield works ok. =)
