I just put the HO cams and a 2005 intake on my 2000 Dakota. From my
research, the 2002(3?) and up 4.7L intake manifolds incorporated most of the
benefits of the earlier HO intakes. On a 2005 Dak, the same intake is used
on both (HO and non-HO) versions of the 4.7. Considering the 2005 intake
cost me $66, I went with the '05 piece. (Can you believe that? I couldn't
get a new intake manifold for $66 in 1970!)
So unless you just gotta have the HO intake, I'd just get the cams....
