I agree Barry. That has to be one of the great works of fiction I have ever
read. I was riding a Harley once and hit a german Shepard that stepped out
in front of me and I was only doing about 50. I went right over him but
though I kept the bike upright, I wound up planting it into the side of a
parked car in a residential driveway and I went right over the car. Killed
the dog and ruined my day. Total BS that some guy cut a deer in half doing
150 on a ricer.....yeah sure.

Tom, put the cup down and carefully step away from the haterade...just
because *your* bike has a hard time going 40 mph... Remember, you have
friends that like to ride fast.

Second... A 150 mph deerstrike with nothing more than a bit of plastic
broken? I realize that riding a motorbike increases percieved speed by
a factor of 2 or 3, but damn, that stretches credibility. I have seen
several deerstrikes on bikes, and helped clean a few up myself, and
almost without exception, anything above 70 or so on a bike into
anything bigger than a dog, resulted in an unrideable bike and a trip to
the ER - and that was with full leathers on.

Here's a funny story about a deerstrike on a bike:
