mm and how many times has the Charger moniker been ressureccted and
placed on a bastardized chassis?
The new Chrysler Aspin/Durvango based SUV?
Theres a few more where Chrysler tried to push old names on new cars..
Remember the Monaco? The once famed "most powerful police persuit car"?
It came back as a friggin Renault for a couple years in the early 90s'
Plus GM tried that with the GTO - all it was, was a rebadged Aussi
Holden Monero. Yeah it was a kick ass performer rear wheel drive V8 -
so is the current Charger - as stand alones - the two cars are great -
as Chargers and GTOs? No friggin way.
Chrysler would probably slap a Coronet badge on a Minivan and expect it
to sell... then again - that was the old DaimlerChrysler that fucked
things over... the vehicals on sale now are still hold overs from the
D.C days. However I read that teh 09 Ram redsign had a lot of
lastminute changes made by the new ownership. Hopefully the new guys on
the block will get the idea and fix what Daimler broke.
