Towed my Dak from OH to Pomona, CA and back with my Grand Cherokee 4.7. Dak
+ trailer = 6000 lbs. Jeep + 2 with luggage = 4700. I could get 15+ mpg
on relatively level ground but averaged only 11.8 for the 5000 mile round
trip. It could pass everything but a gas station and handled the mountains
just fine with cruise control on and 5 mph over whatever the speed limit
was! Diesels are best but 4.7's ain't bad. :-)
