RE: Tranny dipstick tube seal R&R

Mine doesn't have an o-ring, it’s more of a rubber sleeve that fits into the
hole on the tranny, then the dipstick slides into the sleeve. There is a
bracket on the tranny dipstick that bolts to the back of the passenger side
head that will have to be removed.

Subject: DML: Tranny dipstick tube seal R&R

ok, so its not fixed. it still leaks. i will settle up with my mechanic
later.

Gonna handle this repair myself. ( yes, i should have done this in the
first place )

Seems wet at base of dipstick tube. And the tube seems to be a tad loose
where enters
the case.

Right now I need to know how do I replace the tiny o-ring at the base of the
dipstick
tube.

I found the o-ring for just $ 0.11 at rockauto.com

Parhaps someone can double-check my part number: O-Ring #52107671

Since I cant wait for rockaout to send I just go to stealership and get it.

What I am worried about is having something ( dirt ) fall into hole when I
remove the
tube.

HELP!
