Yeah, I wouldn't trust a cable company with my e-mail account
either. Comcast seems to suck especially hard in this area, in my
experience. Every now and again, comcast will decide that DML mail is
spam and start blocking it, at which point I need to contact them YET
AGAIN to remove the block. I actually have a script that runs
continually, checking my server's mail logs for the error message that
occurs when this happens to try to get ahead of the curve when it
does, since it usually takes a couple of days to remove the block.
:-P They don't just block DML mail when they do this, they block ALL
mail from the DML server's IP, which serves more than that one domain,
so if any messages to comcast customers come through there, those
people are out of luck during that time. :-(

I do not get a good feeling from any company that would deny
services to their customers based on no evidence whatsoever (I have no
idea what sort of criteria they or their automated systems are using,
but its pretty bad, since DML messages are easy to differentiate from
spam). To their credit, it *has* been several months since the last
time so maybe they finally got that fixed; I'm still not ready to
trust 'em though, I'll keep my "comcast watchdog" running. :-)
