My grandmother needs to sell two vehicles in Salt Lake. I can't afford to get
them out here, and I'm not sure what I'd do with them even if I had them. The
details are a bit fuzzy, but I'll post what I know so far. I can get more
information as needed.
First is a 1975 Dodge Power Wagon with only about 70,000 miles on it. It's a
4x4, automatic, and I'm pretty sure is has a 440 in it.
Second is a Willys CJ, I believe it's a CJ2A. I'm not sure the year, it
should be 1947 give or take a year. I have pictures of I can post.
She asked me if I could find out what they're worth. Any ideas? My initial
research suggests about $3500 for the Power Wagon and $4500 for the Willys in
good condition. The Jeep might be in slightly rougher condition than would be
considered "good", although it is a CJ, so trying to grade the condition of
the interior is kind of a pointless exercise. It smells like sagebrush and
campfire... does that increase or decrease the value? :-)
Both are remarkably rust free for their age (that's the nice thing about Utah
being a desert), and run and drive well. They could probably a good tune up,
but nothing major that I'm aware of.
If anyone might be interested, or know someone who is, let me know. (Jon...
can you say "Willys parts vehicle"? :-)
Thanks.
