You'll want to leave the fan shroud in place. It helps direct the air
through the radiator and will help keep things cool with the A/C on.

Subject: DML: Electric fan question

I'm planning to install an electric fan in place of the stock fan on my
'95 Dakota w/3.9, A/C, etc. I'm using a ProComp 16 inch with a Derale
temperature controller. The electric fan is about the same size as stock.
Should I leave the stock fan shroud in place or is it just taking up space
with the new setup?

Thanks for any advice,
John Hower
