99 dak 3.9 v6 as stated above.
got a crack or leak somewhere above where the exhaust connects to the
engine. i moved the rusted heat shield and actually pulled it out of
the engine area, but 2 screws were still on the heat shield piece. it
looks like the screws snapped.
are these the same screws that hold the exhaust headers to the engine ?
what are my options from here ?
i purchased the engine gaskets thinking this would be a quick fix, but
now can see there is ovbiously a leak..
is there a way to run smoke through the exhaust (going back toward the
engine) to see exactly where the leak is ? can i "do it myself at home?"
