Tapping is the only correct and proper fix. You can try some "Thread
Repair" but don't know how that stuff holds up to the heat of the brakes.

Lower brake bolt striped passenger side. Does any one have a quick fix
other than tapping? I do not know how to do that or have taps any help
would be great. would like to get through this set of pads before i
have to change the ball joints and the part the bolt goes into
