Thanks for the clarification on the plug kit, Jon. The 1/8" NPT sounds a
bit small for a drain plug but it might work OK, and seems like you've had
some good experience w/ it as a port for senders.
As for the welding issue, I'm pretty good w/ my MIG (Millermatic 185 using
CO2/Argon) on applications like this - wouldn't try it w/ an arc welder.
