Radiator

Well, changing the radiator seems to have taken care of my climbing temp
problem -- that and replacing the hose a second time as a friend cut the
first one a bit too short (stupid cut to fit hoses). A 2 hour project
turned into a 2 day project due to the new rad arriving with hose barbs
on the tranny cooler inlet/outlet, while my truck has those $%@#$@#
"quick disconnects" that are anything but.

So, $48 in tranny cooler hose, (the stuff on there looked to be heater
hose that had swollen up) hose barbs and half a quart of ATF it's back
on the road, in 80+ degree temps, with the A/C on, and it doesn't budge
off the 180-190 degrees on the gauge. Good thing too since it's my last
functional vehicle.

Next I have to replace the tie rod ends/idler arm/pitman arm and have it
aligned, then pick up the rims/tires a guy I ran into at the dealership
promised me for $300 bucks, then replace the brake drums (man those 10"
brake drums are pricey, which is why they did the rear brakes and didn't
change the drums from the feel of it) and I'll actually be able to do
something FUN to the truck... whew.

Then I'm back in the market for a Neon to replace my wrecked one, then
the whole used car cycle starts over again. Sigh.
