Interesting... well, considering these are "play tires" (I'd much prefer
some more middle of the road A/T tires but you take what you can get
when you have a wife who is stuck in bed due to a car accident and 2
kids) I'll have to let the list know what I experience when I self-sipe
them. I can see why it would wear faster, though, especially if you do
a lot of hard braking or cornering causing the tread to "Squirm" more.
Do you remember how tightly spaced the sipes were on the tread blocks?
Were they the "zig-zag" sipes or just straight sipes?
And as you're the guy with the tire experience, do you know if a
31x10.5x15 tire (or even a 30x9.5x15) spare will fit with no problems?
Mine has the "Factory full size" spare which won't help my limited slip
rear end at all if I have to use it considering it'll be 2" shorter... :)
