I will start with the thanks.....

1. THANKS to the ENTIRE Steiger clan for once again being wonderful
hosts and putting up with a bunch of crazy Dakota drivers. Without all
their efforts this annual pilgrimage could never happen.

ii. Chris Reck, that was some of the BEST brisket I've ever eaten,
THANKS. Sorry you couldn't stay longer.

C. Nora and Jason for bringing Tayler (sp) along she was the life of
the party.

Problems:

I. After I arrived, I spent about 40 minutes, adjusting the front brake
on my mountain bike (my Dak is full time 2WD not 4) only to discover
that my suspension forks were failed.

B. This was the first weekend of summer...no really first one with
summer like temps, and full bright burning sunshine....no I didn't get
burned despite not having any sunscreen with me, but others did.....

3. The mattress I had in the bed of the truck was about an inch too
thick so I was bumping the tonneau when rolling over.

iv. I had the massive fail trying to sight in my Garand scope.

Other bits, twisted and otherwise.....

i. Mike I want you to link to pictures of the front outer stub shafts
that got broken @ the upper falls.

2. Tom actually performed a proper wheel spin-less crawl uphill. Of
course he lit them up later.

c. Oh yeah that brings up the fact that Tom didn't keep the Ram out of
the woods.

III. Mother nature changed the trails considerably with the flood.

E. Due to those changes, Jon lost his glasses in the new swimming hole
below the lower falls.

vi. The lower falls are more difficult to access due to the new 6-8'
tall sand and rubble damn.

7. Jon got to pull Tom out from the mud 3 times with his bone stock
Jeep Cherokee. Tom managed to escape the 4th mud puddle on his own.

IIX. I forget what IIX was for..... (apologies to the Violent Femmes)

9. Again thanks to the Steigers for putting up with all of us
again.......

x. And yes I know this is almost a week late........

11. The UK manufacturer of my mountain bike forks did finally get back
to my email, unfortunately it was just a request for more information
;-((
